Wedding Review

I finally got a few photos from my friend who was a bridesmaid at Bunji and Faye Ann's wedding along with a report on the events.

My friend Christine, one of the bridesmaids.

The couple's first dance.

From her I learned that one particular female soca artiste known for her rather interesting dress code showed up at the wedding in what she termed an "inappropriate outfit"; I guess some people don't know how to relinquish the spotlight to others for a moment.

Other than the ceremony and reception reportedly went smooth with lots of drinks and a menu which consisted of everything yo u could think of; from doubles and corn soup to Chinese, roti, wild meat and Italian cuisine.

For lots of photos from the event please check out this album at Pointalive.com, and they also have a nice review of the wedding as well as a video!

Saucy...did you see the size of their ri8ngs! OMG!
The couple looks so happy and that's all that matters in the end!

Yup, saw the photo of Faye Anne's ring when they first got engaged.

Christine is Bunji's niece and she showed me the pic.And I saw it again on pointalive.com.

A little to grand for my tastes,I prefer a simple, tiffany set diamond solitaire (round or princess cut)1/2 carat and up. But it is a really huge ring.

They truly looked happy. I wish them the best. But I must say, however did the makeup needs to be shot! And those rings are too coskell and obzuki! They should have opted for rings with more class and elegance. Just because you guys are soca stars does not mean that the rings have to be ostentatious! Saucy, who is the female soca star that was dressed inappropraitely? If they are speaking about Destra, from what I saw she was dresses fine. I don't think everyone needs to be in an evening gown for a wedding. If you choose to be fashionable within good reason for the event, I think it's fine.

hmm, dunno if it is Destra ;)
But I have yet to see a full length pic of her to see exactly what she was wearing. From the neck up she looked very well covered with the turtleneck top.

not for nothing but are they sure they have enough bridesmaids? lol

maybe it's just me who wouldn't want such a big wedding, but congrats to them!

hummingbird, i have to agree with you - the person who did her makeup needs to be shot! furthermore, i hope she did it for fay-ann for FREE!! any good makeup artist knows that you're NOT supposed to see where the makeup begins and ends on a person!! i could have done a better job!!

and what was up with that person and the high split in the dress!! i have one word for that - TACKY

Very nice pics and a nice couple as always the best to both of them I like how they match their hair.

A few questions - why did Destra wear turtle neck was it snowing in Trini that day or was it extremly cold????? Ah really do not understand how yuh could fuction in hot trini with a turtle neck????

Some ppl could have dress for the occasion

When you have money in the bank they always say the bigger the better, I guess thats why they got those big rings to go with their lifestyle and personality.

The make-up artist could have done a better job.

Good afternoon all.

I have to agree with all that has been said here.

Obzokie rings - DITTO

Make up artists need licks - DITTO, DITTO, AND DITTO. Did I say she needed BIG LICK UP?

My husband swears the lady with the split up the bamsee, looking a HOT MESS, is a Denise Belfon. LOL, But I could not tell from the pic.

Despite all this, the couple looked truly happy. After the rings and the makeup are done, and the real marriage starts, their happiness is the bottom line.

Janene I have to concur, I did a double take when I see the man in the trench coat, and I love Destra, but my god woman a turtle-neck. These people don't know that we in foreign does be vex to wear turtle-neck and coat because that means its freezing outside.

The rest of the year is work work..me in ah suit..work work...ah fed up ah meh boss..work work ...de friggin cold...yuh get the idea... so any and everything to do with carnival ah want it and ah want it now. Plus this year ah commin in and leavin faster than normal so ah trying to put as much into as little time as possible. Back to this weddin...ah watch the video and all of this was FayAnn's vision so at the end of the day...bad makeup..tacky dresses...OMG ring as long as FayAnn and Bunji happy ah happy for them. One thing ah must say though..it looked like a true true Trini weddin..Fay Ann spoke about decorating the hall and family putting everything together, just like regular folk..the fact they had corn soup and doubles at the wedding seal the deal for me...and I am guessing that the affter party was so good people singing "no no we eh going home"...so all in all I say good job.

deredting, and they put it in soca sound as well, The Lyrics King & The Lyon Empress. I just heard this on torontolime.com. It's pretty good, and it seems like their personal anthem for their wedding. The only thing left is to wish them well. Take ah drink, cheers : )
