Well, sources have informed me that they recently held a
PRIVATE launch and showed costumes which were, according to what I heard:
"SMOKING HOT...the aquamarine and red / gold sections very pretty."
I also have been informed that they are looking to launch early as in
BEFORE TRIBE; hmm hope they do not clash with Evolution that is also launching before TRIBE as well!
Why is everyone rushing to launch before TRIBE anyway, are people seriously going to register with a brand new band before seeing what the stalwarts have to offer?

saucy, its because the new band wouldn't sell out as fast as tribe would, so every1's rushing to launch before tribe so that their costumes will get a fair chance.

I agree Mimi. My guess is that if they launch before, then all they have to do is wait till people check out the 'regulars' then hopefully come back and register with them.
If they launch after, then they are likely to lose all potential masqueraders to the larger bands. After big bands launch, there is the mad rush to secure a spot in your favourite section. Nobody wants to risk waiting on the new band to launch and then be disappointed, and get leave out of the 'it-ness'.
It's probably a smart move to launch before the larger bands.
Really it does not even matter to me who launch when....i will dissect the new bands offerings, talk them up and down, even fall in love with their costumes (hopefully).....but at the end of the day i will be playing in IP or Tribe...its all about who of the 2 have the sexier costumes, which band i can register for in a hurry and the "IT-NESS LEVEL" -which a new band cannot establish juss so straight out d' gate......really cheaper costumes may gather new revellers- but stalwarts will still shell out top dollahs PLUS the anticipated extra dollars to jump in the hot bands.......tuff
Sexy t you sound like a carnivalist(carnival analyst) you are spot on with that comment but we all know Tribe will have the sexy costumes with a touch of class...lol!
but all these new bands trying to launch before Tribe but people will still wait to see the other offerings so what sense does that make the costumes will gather dust and by the time folks are ready to view they will look old so why not take your time and forge your own path so we can say you did your own thing and it worked instead of doing what others have done and fail.

it is definitely NOT about the costumes as several members of the new bands once made costumes for the it bands. It is definitely about being with and among the "in" crowd.
Only loyal carnival connoisseurs will follow their favorite designer to an unknown and untested band especially when the band is made up of the same bikini and bead mas.
Their test market has to be people outside the old regular Tribe/IP loyalists. Maybe the newbies or the "shit out of luckers/ registered too late/non having TLC cards"-ists!" haha!
Well, I might be one of those people in their target market. And I agree, the decision to play with a band is not just about the costumes. For instance, I thought that Evolution's costumes this year looked really great. But after I read all the horror stories and saw the pictures of the ACTUAL costumes on the road, I was really turned off. So, personally, the reason why I am drawn to the "it" bands doesn't have anything to do with being in the "in" crowd. With those bands, I know that the costumes not only going to look good BUT I can also expect a high level of service and support (which, in my mind, is crucial to people living overseas).
P.S. I already buy my ticket so as far as I'm concerned everybody could launch early yes!
