And the winner is!!

The results of the TRIBE poll are in and the Asian theme was voted the winner over the Space theme which is great news since TRIBE is indeed doing an Asian theme for 2010! Tribers will be taking " The Silk Road"!

well I know richard young will hook me up with an asian face because he's sick with the makeup, I wonder how naked could an asian be, I don't want plenty clothes! lol

well according to wikipedia, the silk road extended across southern europe, east africa, the middle east, asia and into java. that's a lot of possibilities.

i hope so too! they should hold on to the space theme though, for 2k11. i disappointed that one didn't make it. it was definitely intriguing and would have been very different!

that's good news, I am relieved they are not doing the final frontier. I was a bit skeptical on how they would translate that space theme & make gorgeous costumes and not "weird" interpretations. I'm hoping they design an "Indian" costume as part of the Silk Road.

LMAO @ Trinibears!!!

I am intrigued to see what they come out with. The space theme would have been equally intriguing though, so no major complaints.

What kind of individual can I be boy? ;)

I was kind of curious about the space theme...even though I knew it could go very well, or very bad. I thought it would be bling all the way, stars, the milky way, the red planet....but now I'm interested in seeing the interpretations for the silk road. Let's see

silk Road sounds a but artsy, like a peter minshell kinda thing. Lets see how tribe works these with binkini and beads..let hope it not an "ole time something" come back again fiasco.

Trinibears and DC Chica have the ideas which I saw for Final Frontier. It's should not be about Star Trek or science fiction, but very much about the reality of celestial formations, planets, and solar systems.

My number one mas band of all times is Wayne Berkeley and Bobby Ammon's "Secrets of the Sky" (the images of my childhood are precious). I'd love to see a masterful presentation of a bikini mas interpretation of some of the astronomical bodies of the universe (pun definitely intended). There are indeed heavenly bodies in TRIBE (and other bands for sure) right there, down in ah Trinidad!

"Silk Road" is a safe road with lots of cliches to fall back. But I think TRIBE (yeah, I know several designers) can bring something new and gorgeous with fresh vision.
