Legacy presents Masala

What is it with Carnival 2010 and the Asian continent?

Island People is bringing their version of "Kuchela" which is what Trinidadians call an East Indian condiment but Kuchela is also a friend of Krishna, from the story Mathura. I know Island People is doing Indian inspired costumes complete with sexy saris, Spice has an East Indian section "Rubies of Mumbai" and my sources also tell me there is also an Indian section in TRIBE!I bet there is a red costume in EACH band!

Now, Legacy's Carnival 2010 presentation is "Masala", a blend of spices used in East Indian cooking; more "Indian inspired" costumes to look out for on October 3rd.

So for those of you looking to spice it up with some kuchela and masala, stock up on your exotic bindis at those Indian Expos (in Trinidad) for an easy addition to Monday wear , book your Mehendi appointment now and think of alternate footwear because sneakers and boots are not going to cut it with the sexy saris!

Namaste!

Talk about overkill. Very boring indeed. Worse yet... a Sari in Trinidad is a everyday thing. Do we really need to pay $4000 up for a skimpy Sari?
