Tribe Loyalty Cards (TLC):We pride ourselves on being an innovative team providing new concepts and ideas that continue to make TRIBE “The Ultimate Carnival Experience.” In 2006 we introduced the Tribe Loyalty Card (TLC) programme that recognizes and rewards our loyal masqueraders. This initiative has been extremely well received and we continue to receive positive feedback. We are currently in the process of improving the TLC system so that greater benefits may be derived. In light of this, we will NOT be issuing any new TLC codes/cards this year. All Tribe Loyalty Cards and/or codes previously issued will remain valid. It has been brought to our attention that the TLC privilege is being abused by those who “rent” and “sell” their TLC codes. We would like to reiterate that this practice is in violation of the TLC terms and conditions, and as a result any TLC used in this manner will be CANCELLED.
Please note that TLCs are NON-TRANSFERABLE.
Once again we would like to thank you for your tremendous support throughout the years and look forward to Carnival 2010 when together we will discover.... The Secret of Silk.

Finallllyyyy!!!! Wooohoooo!!! I cannot wait. I will be there for BOTH the launch and carnival 2010.
PUT YUH TLC CARDS IN DE AIR....AND WAVE DEM LIKE YUH JUST DON'T CARE!!!
I guess the revamping of the TLC system was more an 'increasing the benefits' upgrade as opposed to a completely new system.
What can I say? If you don't have a TLC card and wanna get into TRIBE, get your clicking finger READY!!!
CARNIVAL 2010 IN DE AIR!!!
i am sure they have something instore for the masqueraders of this year man.. they cant be so chupid..lol
*** RUNS TO THE GYM***
While I am OVA ecited about the launch I am totally disappointed in the TLC system not being revamped. So basically what they are saying is that if you don't have a TLC card and want to actually get into a section fo your choice you will have to wait till January to buy someone elses because as we all know...after TLC people register there is usually only about 10 costumes left in 3 sections. What happens to all the first time masqueraders from this year who wants to play with them again? Are we still considered "new" masqueraders? And how is it fair to those who sold their costumes and have TLC cards to still keep them and get first preference if they did not play with the band this year? How is that loyalty?
Honikane, I think you all will be considered NON-TLC holders, but the category is basically the same because it means you won't be able to register early :(
In TRIBE's defense tho, they can't be expected to undertake a mission of investigating which of their TLC holders actually played mas and which of them sold their costumes after registering for C2K9.
If I have a TLC, registered and then lost my job or something so I had to sell my costume, should I have my TLC revoked? I don't think so.
The band can possibly deactivate a TLC card that hasn't been used for X amount of years, but in my opinion, it would be a waste of their resources to keep tabs on who sold a costume after registering with the band....especially because selling a costume really isn't that big a deal and it has been going on for years in practically every band.
I think cutting off the TLCs actually increases the chance that new people will get into the band because if TRIBE continued to distribute TLCs, the ENTIRE band would be TLC holders only...(I know a few people who wouldn't mind that at all ;D).
The band can only cater to so many people at the end of the day so like it or not, some people need to start exploring other options...and there are many others to choose from :)
I don't see what the big deal is. I mean if you can't get into Tribe so what. There are other viable options. I have played with Tribe for 5 years now and i will try my damnest to get into the band. But if I don't there is Spice. Some of my friends played with them last year and said everything was fantastic. I haven't heard one bad thing. Spice is the new up-and-coming band and will soon proceed to become the new "IT" band once they keep their acts together. If IP had better organization skills they also would be a viable option. And sources within Spice's committee indicate the costumes are "HOT"......so there is not need to fret. All i want to know is how big Spice is cause i might need a space......lol
i swear the theme was supposed to be the silk road??? what kinda theme is the secret of silk sounds like a friggin perfume or fabric softner!
Keep up Bacchanal Mas, the theme was changed because it was too close to Spice Route.
