Steups, clever way to get people to the mas camp to view the costumes that are not selling. I am not impressed with anything related to Island People. They don’t care about anything else but making money. Not me I good, too late for discussions. What they should have done first they are doing last.

Liking the new logo though ... Has that been changed a long time now and I just didn't notice?

Why wait until your band has not sold out to find out how to change the road experience for your masqueraders. THis is something that should have been addressed at the end of last year carnival with all the numerous complaints.

Sauce, I had to chuckle when I read this post. They really trying a different approach oui. Well its best they try something now than never I guess. I hope this includes heeding emailed complaints as well.
OK, carry on.

ALL these haters. If this was another band doing the same thing you all would have been singing praises as the best idea since sliced bread. Just give IP kudos for at least doing something to address masqueraders concerns.

salsaman why you doh hush sometimes boy? Oh jeez!! TAKE OFF DE BLINDERS!!!

As for IP...too little, too late.

Just another hater

Best way to see if this works is to wait. Simple.
No accusations of hate(rade) necessary if IP's customer service improves, right? Good!

Agreed TrinigYal. If IP slips up after this then anyone who not satisfied with C2k10 ship out and find another band. If you never played with IP and bumping your gum with a comment here then STFU.

1 hour to discuss and 2 hours to mingle. jokey joke

The mas camp not big enough to hold all the people who have beef with IP.

And like someone said, it's too little, too late. ALL these years people complaining, but yuh didn't mind because the band was still selling out quick, quick. Now business eh so hot and one of your investors was distracted for a while, so yuh thinking up gimmicks to bring the people in. Steups.

But I hope it work, for the masqueraders' sake yes. All the people giving IP they money year in, year out DESERVE a change.

And salsa, you might as well not be playing in IP since your section leader have her own thing going on. You well looked after. The rest of the people not in your section not so lucky.

again pointless! if IP dont know by now what they messing up on the even more stupid! come on u can com on here and see endless complaints! another thing they need to look at is the actual costumes too they horrid! thats why they not selling i sat here laughing the other day at the fact they only jus barely have 3 sections sold out lol, them people thought the name alone can sell ah product! well they now realise it dont go so! no one gonna turn up to the discussion cos them have no one in de band! too little too late!

personally I think it's a good idea...and other bands compaints or none at all should follow suit. Its a good opportunity to listen to the customer on where they went wrong and where they did good.

Salsa is right...this is just typical IP bashing lol..had Tribe said lets lime and discuss what you love and/or hate about the road the comments would be more along the lines of 'Wow Tribe does it again they care so much about de masquerader' or 'This is a great opportunity to tell them to downsize the band!' Let IP try and fix their flaws and make a better road experience for those who are playin with them for 2k10.

..and Bachanal I actually like the costumes..

But TriniVice, you have to admit that the move looks really cynical. People have been complaining about IP for YEARS!! And for YEARS they have done nothing. The owners/ investors have done nothing. At least with TRIBE, they take action. They will respond to your email, they will ring you up, they will sort it out. That is why I personally don't feel that TRIBE has any need to have a forum such as this. They run that band like a military operation, and kudos to them for that yes. And IP do not do that.

But it didn't matter as long as people were willing to give them their money. Ent? But now, it's heading to Christmas, and only three sections sold out? Let's make it look like we care. What happened to caring after people were bawling on Ash Wednesday about the rubbish time they had? I actually like IP's costumes, but would NEVER consider playing with them because of their atrocious service. And I'm 100% sure I'm not the only one.

So yes, this idea is a very good one. I just think it's three years too late.

Got this email as well.
Twas most welcome...however, as others have stated it's 2 yrs too late. If this circulated around this time in 2007 and something actually come out of it I MAY have played with IP in 2008 and 2009 probabaly...then where would I be now?!

Let's see what comes out of this.
