The best thing about using Facebook as a medium of advertising is that the bands have discussions, photos and user interaction plus interested potential masqueraders get updates on the bands that have already launched or have themes for J'ouvert 2010, of course if you want to participate you do need a Facebook account, you can view the bands' information without joining however:
