First Look At Threads Of Morocco Frontline

From one of the bloggers whop sent her photos of Threads of Morocco Frontline, remmeber if you want to share your costume photos email to trinidadcarnivaldiary@gmail.com:

So I've finally collected myself enough to send you the pics lol......I absolutely LOVE this costume.

A few observations:

SANDRA HORDATT FOR PRESIDENT!!! She has really done a lot with the costume and beyond to give us value for our money so kudos to her!

The bottom piece has no waistband....the gems are attached to the underwear itself so that eliminates any Velcro or worrying about the waistband staying up! I like it. It also ties like an actual bikini so the masquerader can adjust the fit.

Either my bumsee has a very big ego or those medium panties are actually small because no cooperation is taking place!!! I will be attempting an exchange when I go back to Cascadia to collect some other costumes.

The caged bra is very sturdy, supportive and most of all COMFORTABLE!

The headpieces for some reason look so different..in terms of feathers...i find so for more of the FL. But other than that...gorgeous!

LOL @ 'Sandra Hordatt for President'. I been feeling so every year since Goddess & Defenders. I do believe they also got small headwear for Monday. Nice work Sandy... Maybe she should run for president - at least then her position in the band would be ensured. ;-)

OMG!! This was my first choice costume and it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! I got talked out of this by previous Hordatt masqueraders (That blogger know who they are LOL) and I am sooooo VEX I didn't stay with my original thought...if I did I may have remained in Tribe cause this costume is BREATHTAKING!! And the monday wear..LOVELY IDEA that should be done for ALL frontliners!!

Of all the costumes collected so far this is by far the BEST. Nice colour combination, looks like great quality too.

I have a backline costume, and I must say that it is really perfect. I love everything about it. I purchased a large headpiece and got a small headpiece with it for Monday. Absolutely fantabulous. Ah cyah wait!

Also LOVE that the skirt/panty is one attachment so no adjusting and movement from the belt.

LOL, Diva I guess she heard my complaints from last year. Let's hear the reviews about the section after carnival. I will agree though I am having costume envy, also. I haven't seen any other frontlines, so I cannot compare. I am patiently waiting to see Xi ling Shi frontline backpack.

Hmmm....this costume is indeed gorgeous but it leaves me to wonder if these local designers did any of the work. So far the costumes i see all coming wrapped in cellophane bags and well neatly packaged. Now i know Saucy has spoken about the fact that they order the costumes and have others make it in some country and then they ship it here.

All in all, even my costume Charmeuse looks gorgeous and i absolutoely love it, but it still leaves me to wonder how much of the actual costume is made locally.

There are some designers who do in fact make everything themselves or have it done locally as i helped out one year and saw the deisgner bending wire and sticking the stuff onto the bra herself!

I just hope that in a few years to come we would still be able to show the local talent we have in this county where local designers still design and make their own costumes and not just rely on businesses in some part of the world to do it for us...

@ Krissiegirl - the local talent is not lost. The mass producers will have NOTHING to produce if not for the prototype from LOCAL DESIGNERS. Who might I add are getting younger and younger and would like to be in EVERY fete and STILL have the freedom to deliver a great looking product.

Kudos to ALL LOCAL DESIGNERS who have seen this delicate mix of original design vs mass production and CAN AFFORD to do it. Because cost as with everything else is significant when considering this route....

But alas, your headaches are GREATLY reduced... Now how much will you pay FOR THAT!!!!

costume envy to the max! =) not only do i get to hear about everyone's costumes a week before i get to collect my MOL costume but now i have to see how wonderful TOM looks!
Fl is gorgeous. the backline was always a bit too drab for me, it needed more of a colour pop...too much gold. im lovin the monday wear!!! steups...ah vex now.

that headpiece is rheeeeeellllllll big... looking forward to picking up my costume next friday...

@ DESIGNER DARYL i eh mean no offence to you or anybody, its just a thought. I would support TRIBE anyway as i have been doing so and playing with them for the past 5 years. So try and understand my point without GETTING SO DEFENSIVE!

My comment is based on information that was written and i am not saying it is true and i do not have proof, however, as i said it is just my opinion and i KNOW that there are designers that DON'T DESIGN their costumes but get them designed and they just approve it.

Anyways...i done with that there...moving along!!!!
