Island People's Website Is Up....

These bands are not playing! Website is up and registration begins tomorrow, exactly one week after their launch. Not only that but the social media presence on Facebook for both Island People and Spice have grown leaps and bounds since the days when they did not even communicate with their masqueraders:

Spice has also added a 360 Degree Panorama of their Mas Camp to their website....touche!

Congrats to Island People. I am happy that they are making strides to impress. My chapter profile pages are not loading, but maybe there is just a little kink in the system. Scrolling through the costumes in that format however really does make the space theme pop. As you flow from one to the next, the band definitely has a very cohesive look. Well done IP!

Great job IP....your website is great and really captures the space theme....reminds me of Zenon meets Space channel 5....I also look foward to quasar's prices and info.....

HOWEVER I want to instigate some bacchanal here because those prices for frontlines are RIDICULOUS....seems like women are paying more for less.....

(let me hear how supporters justify this one!)

looking at the close-ups from Carnivale Jumbie, I was less impressed, i had a "good from far, but far from good" feeling, sadly, only Vega was still nice, and all the costumes seemed so skimpy for the prices we'd pay...that Forever Orbit frontline for 683US is a bit scandalous for something that i'd more likely see at a naughty pajama party

@ Empath, Inoticed the same RE prices, but didn't want to start nuttin'. The actual prices are comparable to YUMA"s for frontlines, but the masquerader seems ot be getting so much less. I was hoping that maybe I am just not seeing things the right way. We have to bea inmind that YUMA"a prices do not include the back pack, BUT Aquarius FL is a whole lot of a more complete FL ($4700) than Zune's or Meteor Burt's (both ($3695), at basically the same price.

TYPO alert .. meant to say $4695 as Zune and Meteor Burst frontline prices; both as no backpack options.

Empath oy, I with you on that. IP need to revise 90% of those prices. C'mon, Zune BL is $633 US for damn near nothing. My BL costume this year had a feathered hp and a knee-length sari, skirted belt and jewellry for that same price. Zune giving you a hood and chains. F***ry, man.

Maybe I'm missing something, but besides the bra for Zune and Meteor Burst...all of IP frontline costumes have more of something...please correct me if I'm wrong!
