Bel Timoun means beautiful children in patois, and the band is the first kiddies production from Geraldo Vieira Jnr, who won King of Carnival three times (1996 at nineteen, the youngest ever, then 1999 and 2001) and is the son of nine-time king Geraldo Vieira Snr. He debuted it at the 2025 Red Cross Children's Carnival with Party at the Emperor Valley Zoo: Bengal tiger cubs, budgerigars, flamingo dancers.
It is a small, Barataria-based band of around forty to fifty children aged three and up, with a twist nobody else offers: live music from the Providence Girls' and QRC junior steel orchestra on the road. In 2026 it placed second in the Junior Mini Band results on 407 points.
