Harts is the band with the history. Edmond and Lil Hart presented Was This Greece in 1961 and went on to change how mas is played: amplified steelband on trucks, DJs on the road, drinks on the move, organised security, and the bikini-and-beads costume that everybody now takes for granted. Lil died in 1990 and three of the six children, Thais, Luis and Gerald, carried it on; Thais and Luis still run it.
In 2015 Harts joined the TRIBE family, which brought the all-inclusive machinery without changing the character: a friendly, slightly older, very loyal crowd, and a band that has fun first. The motto has not moved in sixty years: one heart, one love, the beat continues.
For 2027 the presentation is Cosmic Chaos, eight sections (Astryx, Nova, Ignisia, Oceara, Paradox, Stella, Velora and Polaris), launched at Launch Cup on 4 July 2026.
